Amongst our customers are a number of companies owned by the international concern SAINT GOBAIN. These are Saint Gobain Compagnie de Saint-Gobain (Germany), Saint-Gobain Distribution Deutschland GmbH (Germany), Saint-Gobain Sekurit France - FRO1 (France), Saint-Gobain Sekurit HanGlas Polska Sp z o.(Poland), and this year they have been joined by Saint-Gobain Nordic AB (Sweden).
In terms of its importance, the Saint-Gobain concern ranks amongst the top one hundred industrial corporations in the world. It employs over 208 thousand co-workers in 59 different countries. The Saint-Gobain company is quoted on the leading European stock exchanges in Paris, London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Brussels and Amsterdam. The history of the concern itself dates back as far as 1665.
The traditional field of activity of the Saint-Gobain concern remains the manufacture of flat glass and glass products. Today car windscreens do not "only" fulfil a protective or safety function, but offer end users other functions which contribute to greater comfort and convenience during travel in all weathers and at any time of the year. This covers hydrophobic glass, acoustic glass, laminated glass, heated glass, glass deflecting/absorbing heat and glass with integrated antenna.
Today it is no longer possible to expect only the original function of a safety element at the front of the car body from a front windscreen. It is of optimum value to utilise the windscreen for its other properties such as heating, reflection of sun rays, to reduce noise inside the car thanks to its acoustic foil, for incorporation of the antenna and various communication sensors such as the sensor for through passage and registration of motorway tolls, the warning sensor for breaching the road shoulder and other "assistants" which help the motorist ensure safer driving of the vehicle.
We translate in particular company materials and technical materials for the Saint Gobain concern, not only from Czech but also from English and German, for example into French, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, Estonian and Latvian, and vice versa.
